Peer responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to HIV-positive patients
  • Lead monthly support groups
  • Conduct HIV education classes
  • Make appointment reminder/missed-appointment phone calls

Success measures: 73% of patients on antiretroviral therapy (as of FY 2006). Of those:

  • 90% have medical appointments every 3 months
  • 97% have completed their viral load laboratory tests
