What is the average caseload of peers in your programs?
At WORLD, a new peer would start with one client a week and then increase to 2 per week after about 2 weeks, and it continues to increase as the peer gains experience. A peer advocate might have 65 clients, but this is a very senior peer. Keep in mind that different clients may require a different level of care– some see a peer only once a year.
The caseloads in the Harlem Hospital adherence program range from 10 to 30, depending on how many hours per week the peer works.
