Are your peers accessible to clients during evening hours or weekends?

The peers in the Kansas City Free Health Clinic program are not available after hours. The clinic believes any crisis situations outside of normal hours needs to be handled by professionals. Similarly, the WORLD program staff has found that evening and weekend calls can be stressful for peers, and therefore peers have been encouraged to adapt the standard work week. At Harlem Hospital, peers were encouraged to be available during evenings and weekends in the past, but more recently a standard work week has been emphasized for safety and facilitation of communication with supervisors.
