Integrated Care for Children with Autism

Maryland was one of the first states to offer enhanced and integrated services for children with autism through a waiver program administered by the state Medicaid agency. The services include intensive family support and training, therapeutic integration services, respite care, home modifications and intensive individual support at home or in school. Nine hundred children are enrolled in this waiver program.
