Raising Special Kids
Raising Special Kids is the Arizona Family Voices State Affiliate Organization, federally-funded Family-to-Family Health Information Center, and Parent-to-Parent (P2P) center. Raising Special Kids is a comprehensive parent center serving families of children with disabilities and special health care needs in Arizona. As a parent-led nonprofit organization, they provide information, training, and support to assist families in meeting a range of challenges linked to raising a child with special needs. Their workshops offer training in a many topics including advocacy, effective communication, positive parenting, supportive relationships, and special education. News and information of interest to families experiencing disability is shared through a quarterly newsletter, weekly electronic notices, and social media communities. Family Voices of California is a statewide collaborative of locally-based Council Member Agencies working to ensure quality health care for children and youth with special health care needs. They build the capacity of the Family Resource Centers Network of California to provide families with the information and support they need to make informed decisions about the health care of their children. FVCA provides information and a forum for parent centers and families to advocate for improved public and private policies, builds partnerships between professionals and families, and serves as a vital resource on health care. FVCA is a State Affiliate Organization of Family Voices and a federally-funded Family-to-Family Health Information Center.

Community Legal Aid Society, Inc.
is a nonprofit law firm dedicated to equal justice for all, improving lives since 1946. New Jersey Division on Developmental Disabilities (DDS)
The Division serves as a single point of entry for people with disabilities that need information and/or services within the human services system. DDS administers programs that allow people with different types of disabilities to live more independently in the community, and in many cases, avoid the need to move into an institution. These programs include home and community-based service programs, as well as other resource programs. It also publishes (online and hard copy) New Jersey Resources 2011, a comprehensive guide about services across New Jersey for people with disabilities across systems.

Abrazos provides a variety of specialized health and developmental services that support families to meet the special needs of their infants, children, and adult family members. Disability Rights North Carolina
Disability Rights North Carolina is an independent, private not for profit organization. Designated by the Governor on July 1, 2007 to ensure the rights of all state citizens with disabilities through individual advocacy and system change, Disability Rights NC (formerly Carolina Legal Assistance) is part of a national system of federally mandated independent disability agencies. While it receives federal money, Disability Rights NC is completely independent of state government. It is also independent from the disability service system in order to be free of any conflicts of interests, which would undermine the capacity to advocate vigorously on behalf of the human and legal rights of people with disabilities.

Redlands Partners
Known as the Redlands Partners, the Center for Learning and Leadership (The Center), the Oklahoma Developmental Disabilities Council (ODDC) and the Oklahoma Disability Law Center, Inc. (ODLC) are considered sibling agencies because they are related under one law. Each agency functions under specific authority granted through the DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ASSISTANCE AND BILL OF RIGHTS ACT. Known as the DD Act, this law defines the core responsibilities of these three organizations. Each is required to develop and conduct its work in such a way that the opportunities for INDEPENDENCE, PRODUCTIVITY and INCLUSION of people with developmental disabilities will be favorably affected. The programs must work to address the interests and concerns of constituents, pay attention to what changes for people at each stage of life–from birth through old age, and be conscious of how culture plays a role in people’s opportunities, interests and experiences in the community.

Oregon Family to Family Health Information Center
The Oregon Family to Family Health Information Center (F2F HIC) provides information to families who are navigating the complex world of special health care needs. The Oregon F2F HIC is a network of parents who have firsthand experience raising a child or youth with a chronic health condition, developmental delay or disability, or emotional/behavioral challenges.
