Medicaid/CHIP Tutorial Webinar Series
From April – Sept 2012, the Catalyst Center hosted a 5-part webinar series to provide an overview of our Medicaid/CHIP Tutorial, Public Insurance Programs and Children with Special Health Care Needs: A Tutorial on the Basics of Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). This webinar series provides an overview of the tutorial, which includes sections about pathways to coverage, financing, service delivery models, quality measurement and improvement, and eligibility changes under the Affordable Care Act.
The objective of this webinar series is to help you understand how to use this new resource in your work on behalf of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSCHN). During open discussion, which was part of each webinar, participants shared how they have used the information to build partnerships with Title V, Medicaid/CHIP staff, and family leaders to improve services for children and youth with special healthcare needs.
The goal of this webinar series is to:
- Introduce the Medicaid/CHIP Tutorial
- Increase comfort and confidence in completing the self-directed sections
- Provide specific examples of partnerships between Medicaid/CHIP programs, Title V, and other stakeholders that improve health care coverage and financing for CYSHCN
